Last week, blockchain solutions company, Jelurida Africa, conducted the third edition of its blockchain meetup in the world’s most populous black country, Nigeria. The meetup was conducted by 11am WAT, on Saturday, the 20th of March.
Adedayo Adebajo, the Managing Director of Jelurida Africa and Oyinkansola Bakare, the company’s Business Developer for Nigeria, were co-hosts of the program. The just-concluded edition of the meetup, which was tagged “Blockchain in Governance and Politics”, featured a special guest. Vincent Rey Vincente MD, a renowned blockchain evangelist and qualified healthcare professional, joined the program as the Chief Speaker.
Adedayo Adebajo opened the program with a brief presentation on the fundamentals of blockchain technology. Following the short presentation, Dr Vincente, who joined the virtual meetup from Texas, spoke extensively on the application of blockchain technology in governance, and the deployment of blockchain solutions to alleviate the political challenges often faced by many countries. Alongside the presentations that were given by the respective speakers, three participants were gifted 50$ADR each.

For its next meetup, the company is set to move its footprints to yet another East African country and one of the most promising innovation hubs on the continent—Kenya. The Kenyan edition will be centred on Blockchain in Charity, and will be held by 11am WAT, on the 27th of March.
