The Europe-Africa Blockchain Developers’ Call (E-ABDC) Series is a three-month blockchain programme organised by Jelurida Africa, in conjunction with the Africa Blockchain Institute (ABI). The programme will feature a bootcamp for training selected Africans and Europeans on blockchain technology and the deployment of blockchain solutions. Alongside the bootcamp, weekly conferences will be held during the course of the programme, with each week dedicated to a different blockchain use-case.
The highlight of E-ABDC is that the primary focus of the program would be the acceleration of digitisation in Africa and Europe, as well as the development and deployment of a blockchain solution which would be specially tailored towards the facilitation of trade relations between both continents. The programme is set to kick off on the 28th of June, with the theme: “Empowering and Encouraging Home-Grown Decentralized Solutions in Creating Our Ideal Digitally Transformed Ecosystem”.
The maiden edition of the Blockchain Developers’ Call— the Africa Blockchain Developers Call— was held last year, with three pitched blockchain projects which are set to be deployed in the third quarter of this year, over sixty speakers at the weekend conferences, over twenty facilitators at developers’ training sessions, and over 1000 attendants in total. You may read the post-event report of the maiden edition here.
Whilst the central focus of the maiden edition was the African continent, the E-ABDC will be targeted at boosting blockchain awareness in both Europe and Africa. As such, the organisers of the E-ABDC are officially calling for European partners and sponsors, in order to adequately extend the program’s footprints in both continents and ensure the smooth execution of the programme.
