Bitcoin in Africa

 

There’s a huge demand for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in Africa. Never has there been a time with so much bitcoin activity in Africa as it is today. 

 

In fact, sub Saharan countries, for example, Nigeria, is currently the second largest global bitcoin market on Paxful. Kenya and South Africa hold the 8th and 10th position respectively. 

 

According to Google trends statistics, three African countries were among the top 5 countries with the highest search volumes for bitcoin in 2020, with Nigeria and South Africa being the first and second of the top 5.
